LSWR
22’ Passenger Brake Van of 1884
These vehicles were built for general suburban use and to permit making
up additional set trains. They were originally built with caboose roofs,
but by 1909 at least two of them were converted to side lookouts. In
1903 two of them, one caboose and one side lookout, were converted for
use on the PW Inspection Train (see photo below).
The normal vehicles were withdrawn between 12/1900 and 6/1910.
