LSWR 48’ Brake Third of 1899

There were 20 vehicles in the original 1899 batch all built with gas light and elliptical roofs. A second batch of 5 in 1901 were electrically lit. At least 4 of the original batch were converted to electric light prior to 1923. They often ran as three car sets, sandwiching a composite between two brakes. All withdrawn between 1934/38.
