GWR (1900) Point Lever

These point levers were introduced by the GWR in 1900. Photographs show them in use in 1937 and no doubt they were around long after that. The mechanism was non locking, although a simple type of dog clutch was used to ensure that only the counter weight (known as a ‘swinging bob’) had to lifted to over centre, then gravity took over and the point blades were moved. Two versions (with different handles) existed – both can be built from the kit.
