NER Goods Hand Barrow - small

These barrows (similar to a sack truck in modern parlance) were very common on all NER stations and no photograph seems complete without several of them leaning against lamp posts or buildings.

They lasted from very early days right up to recent times slowly being replaced by modern equivalents.
