Delivery
Tricycle “Stop-me-and-buy-one”
Delivery tri-cycles were common at the end of the 1890s and in their
heyday there were thousands on the streets, being a great favourite
of Bakers and Grocers shops.
This particular model is based the delivery tri-cycle held in the Science
Museum collection. It is a 1922 Wall’s Ice Cream “Stop-Me-and-Buy-One”.
There were many thousands of these in use in the 1930s. With slight
cosmetic alterations to the ‘box’ this kit could be adapted
to fit almost any delivery situation.
