LSWR Post Office 44’ Sorting Vans No.12

This Postal Parcel Sorting Van was built in 12/92 (without the side ‘bulge’). In Victorian times it was close coupled to Van No. 5 and operated on the Portsmouth – Southampton service but then it is shown as coupled to Van No.8 post 1912 and became the reserve for the Night Mail. To Stowage Van in 11/23. Finally withdrawn 11/39.
